Children's Home Ofsted Registered Manager
Location: Oxford
Basis: Full Time (On-Site & Hybrid)
Salary: £60,000 pa (plus performance related bonuses)
A client is looking for a dynamic, innovative and dedicated REGISTERED MANAGER to lead a brand new residential children's home in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a home to have the maximum positive impact upon the lives of vulnerable children in Oxfordshire with the support of an experienced Responsible Individual. This role would be ideal for an experienced manager looking for a new challenge or even an experienced deputy manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

Support with the set up of the new provision
-
Oversee the daily management of then home, ensuring a safe, trauma informed, loving, nurturing and positive environment.

Establish and maintain good professional links with multi-agency professionals.
-
Engage with other key stakeholders including the children's families and support networks
-
Maintain compliance with all regulations, legislation and guidance, striving for outstanding.
-
Establish and maintain an uncompromising approach to safeguarding within the home.
-
Lead and support a team of care professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional curiosity and high performance.
-
Contribute to child focussed care planning (within the multi-agency context) to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.
-
Manage budgets, rotas and resources effectively to ensure efficiency and smooth running of the home.

Key Requirements
-
Proven experience of management within the context of a children's home (at least 2 years within the last 5 years).
-
A strong working knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and all appropriate guidance and legislation (including the SCCIF).
-
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care (or equivalent).
-
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (or equivalent) or a commitment to working towards achieving this within 2 years of appointment.

An understanding of trauma informed care and therapeutic models of care
-
Excellent Leadership, organisational and communication skills.
-
Passionate about making a difference in the lives of traumatised and vulnerable children.
