Oxonia Care Consultancy was founded in 2024 by people with extensive careers in residential childcare at all levels in both local authority and the private sector. We have a team of highly experienced and qualified consultants on hand to meet the needs of our clients.
Our company adopts an ethical approach that puts children at the centre of all we do. We believe that all children within care should have access to the same opportunities as any other child and should be in receipt of high quality, safe and individualised care based on their own needs as well as their strengths. Children should live in a warm and safe environment with adults that value, understand and respect their individual needs, and that those adults are appropriate and have the right level of knowledge and skills to care for them and build safe and positive relationships.
We believe that we can help children's homes providers to maximise their outcomes for children, improve standards of care and regulatory compliance and that this will be reflected in positive Ofsted Inspection judgements for their children's homes.
Our goal is to support providers to be financially profitable and sustainable as a result of the delivery of high quality care, good governance and compliance along with an uncompromising approach to safeguarding practice.
We are based in Oxfordshire but work with clients across the country.
Liam Walker - Managing Director
Liam has nearly 25 years of experience working in children's homes at all levels and roles (including Registered Manager) within the public and private sectors. He also has strategic experience within children's services, setting up and opening new provisions, formulating and implementing policies and procedures for the local authority and private organisations, delivering training and overseeing the local authority strategy around Positive Behaviour Support helping to develop and implement a trauma informed neuro-developmental model within childrens homes.
